Pulvocron is an air swept combination Pulverizer/classifier with external fineness adjustment during operation. Known for its versatility, the Pulvocron can pulverize in the medium-fine, fine, and ultra-fine particle size ranges down to 10 micron top size with only minor adjustment. Conditioning of the sweep air allows for drying, heating or cooling.

Feed material enters the Pulvocron grinding chamber at a steady, controllable rate. Upon entry into the grinding chamber, the feed is dispersed by the primary hammers followed by impact between the hammer assembly and the stationary liner. The dynamic classifier sorts the ground particles, and on-size particles leave the Pulvocron as finished product. Oversized particles are recycled through the tailings port into the system air intake duct and pneumatically returned to the grinding chamber.
